Romora Bay Club & Resort Expanding
Press Release: New Marina On Harbour Island, Bahamas
August 15,2008
The Romora Bay Club and Resort is pleased to announce that construction is well under way on a brand new marina scheduled for completion by December of this year. The 40-slip marina will accommodate yachts up to 150' in length. The lighted docks will feature full electric (30, 50 and 100 amps, triple phase), fresh water, telephone, DSL/Wi-Fi, cable, laundry, showers & restrooms. The marina is also designed to allow crew to drive a vehicle out to their yachts with supplies, etc.
Due to the location of Harbour Island, there is already tremendous interest in purchasing a slip. “We believe, due to high fuel prices, owners are looking for safe harborage on an island whereby they can leave their yacht and fly-in their family and friends,” said Burgess Warren, Director of Yacht Club Sales. “North Eleuthera International Airport is only 20 minutes by water and land taxis. Early sales have reflected this as one of the main reasons to purchase,” he added.
This is the first phase in the complete renovation of the Romora Bay Club that has been a feature on the island since the 1960's. Once the marina is finished, work will begin on brand new 1, 2 and 3 bedroom luxury condominiums, restaurants, pool and spa.
The Romora Bay Club & Resort will be a private equity membership club. However, the marina will take in transient boating based on availability
