One of the best times of day to visit Girl's Bank is low tide. The landscape of the area is ever changing. You will usually find a number of boats that are sitting idle in the sand -- some of which are no longer seaworthy.

This is or was a replacement for the original "Lone Tree", a popular photo opportunity, which had finally met its demise on Girl's Bank.
Lone Tree Circa 2014
The original "Lone Tree" on Harbour Island was photographed more than any other landmark on the island. Sadly, it no longer exists. There are some other trees that have since been "planted" on Girl's Bank, but they lack the ability to move around the bay as the original Lone Tree did. It will be remembered for many years.
