Photos of Harbour Island Bay along the central western shore of Dunmore Town, Bahamas.
Shaded bench provides a place to watch the boats and people come and go at the island's main boat dock. Valentine's Marina is in the background of the photo.
Bench Overlooking Harbour Island Bay
The photo focuses on the serene and richly turquoise waters that line the docks and Bay Street in Dunmore Town. This color is represented in the architectureof the island.

Sitting on the Dock of the Bay
Do not miss visiting one of the restaurants that overlook the bay on Bay Street. Cocktails before dinner just when the sun sets is akin to being in a epic romance film.
Twilight on Dunmore Bay
The view from Bay Stret at historic Fort Point takes in north Eleuthera and a familar concrete dock. The serenity of it all can be overwhelming.
Dock in Front of Fort Point Cottage
Sunset is my favorite time to shoot the docks on Bay Street. It's called "magic time" in photography terms. I have spent many years honing skills for capturing "high contrast" scenes like sunrise and sunset -- something automatic cameras aren't very good at.

Fishermens' Dock at Sunset

Sunset over Harour Island Bay is hard to beat. The colors are pastel and the clean air sky enhances the purity of it all. If you catch it at the right moment where most of the lumens are drained out, you can see how saturated the colors really are.
